Minwax Color Visulaizer
From Imagination to Colorful Visualization
SITUATIONDespite having access to countless physical swatches and stain samples, DIYers often struggled to confidently decide on a stain color for their projects. The physical samples alone simply weren't enough to help them visualize the final, large-scale result.
TASKWe needed to develop an intuitive solution that would bridge this imagination gap, giving users a way to accurately visualize different stain colors on actual furniture pieces before committing to a purchase.

Action We created the Minwax Color Visualizer. We designed the platform with a fresh, hexagon-based brand look and feel to modernize the experience. We built the interface to allow users to input their specific project details and select their preferred stains. Then, we integrated a feature that projects these selected stain colors onto a variety of scrollable 3D furniture items in real-time.
Result Voila. The visualizer provided a highly personalized, on-demand color experience right before their eyes. By bringing the stains to life on digital furniture, we created the perfect experience to help any DIYer confidently choose the stain that is exactly right for their specific job.
